Emery Oleochemicals to Present Esters for Electric Vehicle Fluids at 2nd STLE Tribology & Lubrication for E-Mobility Conference
CINCINNATI, OH, USA (November 17, 2022) - Emery Oleochemicals, a leading global specialty chemicals producer, will give a technical presentation at in the 2nd STLE Tribology & Lubrication for E-Mobility Conference being held November 30 – December 2 as a hybrid event at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio, Texas, and virtually online.
Dr. Jared Nelson, Manager of Emery’s Product and Application Development Laboratory at the company’s global headquarters in Cincinnati, OH, USA, will present on Thursday, December 1st at 1:30 pm in Track 4: Thermal Management.
Lubrication and thermal management are key challenges in the development of next generation fluids for electric vehicles (EVs). Dr. Nelson’s technical presentation, titled “Structure-Performance Relationship of Esters for EV Fluids”, will cover our latest research showcasing Emery’s innovative design approaches for the development of EV fluids through a series of sustainable esters that were prepared with systematic variations to the chemistry. Through modification of the molecular structure of the ester series, key features responsible for a given physical, chemical, or electrical property were identified. The analysis of this structure-performance relationship forms an essential foundation to aid in the creation of models, which optimize the product development cycle for new applications.
