Emery Oleochemicals Eco-Friendly Polyols Business Achieves Finalist Status for 2017 European Flexible Polyurethane Foam Innovation Award
CINCINNATI, OH (May. 23, 2017) – Emery Oleochemicals, a global specialty chemical manufacturer, is pleased to announce it is a finalist for the 2017 European Flexible Polyurethane Foam Innovation Award, which is jointly organized by EUROPUR, the European Association of Flexible Polyurethane Foam Manufacturers, and Urethanes Technology International, a polyurethanes trade publication.
Emery's submission showcases the development of two polyols that have broad appeal for the flexible foam industry: EMEROX® 14050 and EMEROX® 14060. The company's proprietary Eco-Friendly Polyols are based on dibasic acids derived from natural oil and monomer feedstock that is back integrated. They offer high technical design freedom for performance advantages similar to a petrochemical ester polyol with the added benefit of high renewable bio-based content, typically 70-100%.
